To transfer database you have to create dump - it is a text file with extension .sql. You can restore a databse from dump or to create a dump using an administration panel Cpanel through PhpMyAdmin: Export - create dump, Import - restore base from dump. Also for database transfer, to create and restore dump you can use scripts «Sypex Dumper».
